a new beginning
I know, I know… we promised more frequent posts about 100 years ago and then didn’t post again. Not good.
I’d like to tell you that we haven’t been able to write because we’ve been too busy journeying to new places, but the fact is the only journey we’ve been on lately is the journey of parenthood. An adventure for sure, but not exactly the kind we would normally write about on this site.
We did manage a quick getaway to the Portland, Oregon area to visit guzoguy’s family. And I am planning a surprise birthday trip for guzoguy… but I can’t share those details until after the fact. So, sorry to say we’ve been a bit short on fresh material.
Of course, that hasn’t stopped us from dreaming about travel and researching our next trip (Prague and Madrid are currently our front runners… anyone have any advice on visiting either of those spots with a toddler??). Our appetite for all things travel-related is as big as ever. But as our lives have changed with the addition of a little one, so has our travel style… and so will guzo: world.
We still have tons of trips behind us that we haven’t yet written about, and we will. It’s just that those posts tend to take a lot of time to put together, and as working parents of a 17 month old (and a demanding dog), time is not always on our side. So in addition to posts about our personal experiences, you’ll start to see a few more posts about places we hope to visit, articles that have inspired us, and links to other websites we think you’ll find interesting. A little less about our actual travels, perhaps, but a lot more from us overall.
… and to kick things off, a couple of sites that prove that parenthood and globetrotting do go together:
